Cookbook author to take over cafe at landmark Cambridge folk club.(Brief Article)

A well-known local vegetarian cookbook author-chef this week signed a purchase and sales agreement to take over the Cafe at Club Passim, the small restaurant at the legendary Harvard Square folk music center in Cambridge.

Didi Emmons expects to start running the cafe's kitchen beginning in September with vegetarian organic pizza as the menu focus.

The cafe will remain open for lunch and dinner, and brunches will be added.

Discussions between Harvard University (the building landlord), Club Passim, Emmons and current cafe operator Omar Mhiuldin have been ongoing for four months.
