Astral in joint venture to build TV display units.(Astral Supreme Bhd. and Gain Micro-Optics Inc.)(Brief Article)
ELECTRONIC products contract manufacturer Astral Supreme Bhd, in co- operation with optical research company Gain Micro-Optics Inc of the United States, plans to produce "light projection engines" for use in high definition television sets and computer display units by middle of next year.
Executive chairman Eddie Foo Chik Kin said this after the company's Third Annual General Meeting and Extraordinary General Meeting in Kuala Lumpur, yesterday.
He added that Astral, a Second Boarder, had on Feb 27 entered into a conditional agreement to invest US$2 million (RM7.6 million) in California-based GMO.
