There were at least seven reported incidents of domestic abuse during the past month in Englewood, according to Laurie Schnaufer, vice president of Domestic Abuse Shelter Home Inc. These incidents were serious enough to require the victims to be treated at a hospital.

Schnaufer and many others in the Englewood community are committed to doing whatever it takes to help these victims, and others like them escape from the abuse they suffer at the hands of their spouses.

Towards that end, DASH has recently purchased a three-bedroom home in the Englewood area that will provide temporary housing to victims and their children. Schnaufer and her husband, Charles; Roberta Anne, DASH …
