When Bobby Seay was leaving Ed Smith Stadium after his Sarasota Sailors had won the Class 5A state crown, after the jumping and hugging and tears had ended, that's when it hit him that his high school career had also ended.

But for Seay, a new career will begin soon. His rocket is merely going into another orbit.

The University of Miami is hoping it is include in the flight plan, but Major League Baseball is running Mission Control.

Seay, the latest of the nationally- recognized Sailors stars of the 1990s, will be relaxing between now and the June 4 free agent draft.
