******** CORRECTION ********The following correction was published on Friday, April 11, 1997. In an editorial Tuesday on the hiring of Sarasota County's new utilities director, one word - at - was inadvertently dropped from a quotation attributed in a news article to County Commissioner Bob Anderson. Regarding the director's complete personnel history, the quotation in the editorial should have stated that Anderson was "not aware of it at all."

We regret the error but note that the mistake in repeating the quotation did not affect the content of the editorial or our position.
