Nearly every aspect of Charlotte Harbor, from A (agriculture) to Z (zoology) will be dissected during a two-day conference this weekend that will help formulate a plan for conserving the nationally recognized natural resource.

The conference will feature an unprecedented collection of experts on the harbor, including scientists, teachers, government officials and environmentalists. They will give more than 60 presentations on the harbor basin's history, biology, geography, geology, hydrology and problems during a series of sessions Saturday and Sunday at the Holiday Inn Waterfront in Punta Gorda.
