A Bradenton employee of the Department of Children and Families is under investigation, accused of releasing confidential information about a client with AIDS.

The agency's inspector general is looking into a complaint against a public assistance specialist that she released private information to an unauthorized person, said Tom Jones, spokesman for the agency. The woman is also accused of misusing state property for personal gain.
