It's unclear whether Lemon Bay's Jason Allaire knocked out the stadium lights or those belonging to the Port Charlotte High football team.

When Allaire scored the game's only touchdown in the second quarter, a power outage caused the lights to go off at Veterans Stadium, forcing a 17-minute delay.

The game was restored, but Port Charlotte could never recover from the damage Allaire had already caused.

The Manta Rays' running back bruised Port Charlotte for 126 first-half rushing yardage - good enough to carry Lemon Bay to a 9-0 triumph over its arch-rival Friday night.
