For me, it started Saturday morning.
I woke up early, hit the shower, and dressed for comfort, although with temperatures in the mid-90s, true comfort could not be attained through wardrobe selections.
Once clothed, I headed straight for Indian Mound Park for the Englewood Jaycees Cardboard Boat Race. As I searched the surrounding streets for a place to park, my mind hearkened back to the old days, when the race attracted about five entries and spectators numbered less than 50.
