The trumpets will sound on Christmas Eve in St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Port Charlotte. So will the French horn, euphonium and trombone, accompanied by the rolling pomp of percussion instruments and timpani.

Performing in the classic sextet style will be Morgan King on French horn; Christopher Selvaraj, trumpet; Chad Newhouse, trumpet; Stephen Selvaraj, trombone; Jessica Horst, euphonium; Karlus Hickson, tuba; and percussionist Christopher Spencer.

The group is under the direction of Gerald Dargis, music director for the church.
