Lillian Rose Barker
Lillian Rose Barker, 94, of New Port Richey and Sarasota, died April 13, 1999.
She was born Aug. 22, 1904, in Warsaw, Poland, and came to Southwest Florida 28 years ago from Yonkers, N.Y. She was a homemaker. She was Catholic.
Survivors include a daughter, Inez P. Seeger of Sarasota; a son, George A. of New Port Richey; three sisters, Marion Barnett, Josephine Boyle and Antonette Werner; a brother, Raymond Krylowski; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Services were in New Port Richey, where the Morgan Funeral Home and Cremation Services is in charge.
Kathleen Bender
Kathleen Bender, 88, Sarasota, died April 18, 1999.
She was born Sept. 7, 1910, in Fostoria, Ohio, and came to Sarasota 25 years ago from there, where she was a legal secretary and administrative secretary for the United Way of Fostoria. She was a member, elder and clerk of session for the First Presbyterian Church of Fostoria. She was a volunteer for the Ohio Red Cross. She was a member of Palms Presbyterian Church, Rotary Ann Club of Sarasota and the Sarasota Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, where she was editor of the Auxiliary Pink Link newsletter.
Survivors include a daughter, Susan K. of Boston; a son, Thomas G. of Nehalem, Ore.; two sisters, Marion Haneke of Naples and Margaret Howell of Ottawa, Ohio; a brother, Thomas Guernsey of Lima, Ohio; and two grandchildren.
A memorial service will be at 2:30 p.m. Monday at the Church of the Palms Chapel. Burial will be in Fostoria. Toale Brothers Funeral Home, Wilson …
