Everybody's favorite veterinarian, Dr. Kent Wiley, was home on leave from the Peace Corps prior to his final 15 months of commitment.

It's only now, he says, that he feels he is contributing, using his training to help combat the inroads of hoof and mouth disease in Ecuador.

Just learning the basics of Peace Corps volunteerism took so long (sound like the Army?) that Doc had wondered when his involvement would pay off.

Aside from treating cattle diseases, Doc has come to appreciate the goals of the Corps.
