TALLAHASSEE -- The Sarasota High girls team left the Class 5A State Soccer championships beaten and beat up. But they left with a promise to return to finish the business of winning a championship.

"We are going to see them again," insisted Sarah Toale on Saturday, shortly after Fort Lauderdale St. Thomas Aquinas finished off the Sailors 5-0 at Gene Cox Stadium to win its seventh straight state championship.

Vanessa Illanes scored three goals, while Lauren Hager and Jennifer Garcia added one each as the Raiders bullied a Sarasota team reeling from injuries and worn down from playing a late match Friday night.
