2001 APR 19 - (NewsRx.com & NewsRx.net) -- A new study suggests that the use of amniocentesis among women who have low-risk pregnancies is associated with having more information about prenatal diagnostics and definite emotional preferences.
Yael Lesser, PhD, Bar Ilan University, Israel, and colleagues reported that women who choose to have elective amniocentesis were more knowledgeable about prenatal diagnostics, risks of invasive procedures, and probability of fetal abnormality in high maternal age.
