The recent trend in monitors has been to downsize the amount of desktop real estate they occupy. The Cornerstone c910, an under-$300 19-inch CRT, bucks that trend. It's deep, running back a full 18 inches, which doesn't leave much room for other things atop the average 30-inch desk. The monitor features a 0.22mm dot pitch and an 18-inch viewing area that illustrates Cornerstone's experience in making large monitors. After running it through our tests, we found the c910's image quality to be rock-solid.

The c910 supports five preset resolutions between 640 by 480 and 1,600 by 1,200, with a 75Hz refresh rate available at the top end. Optimum refresh rates for the other…
