Oi Lan breaks 400m mark.(athletics championships in Kuala Lumpur)(Brief Article)
WONG Oi Lan of SMK Seri Sentosa shaved three seconds off the Under-18 girls' 400m mark to register one of seven meet records broken in the Kuala Lumpur schools athletics championships at the National Stadium in Bukit Jalil yesterday.
Oi Lan clocked 61.6s to win her event.
The championships will select the best athletes to represent KL in the national schools championships next month.
There was also a record in the boys' Under-15 400m when Mohamed Hamdan of SMK Aminuddin Baki ran a blistering 53.3s to better his meet record of 54.40 set last year.
