STORAGETEK South Asia Pte Ltd has launched its low-end L20 Tape Library, a digital linear tape (DLT) tape automation which the company said is the fastest in the industry at 200 exchanges per hour (eph).

Managing director Andy K. Srinivasan said this is the first time that the company has offered a low-end tape solution as its business traditionally focused on high-end products.

"After we studied the market, we found that the low-end market actually grows the most in storage needs. That is one of the reasons why we have decided to introduce a low-end solution," he said.
