NEW YORK -- More than any single product or color or style trend, what impressed at the latest Domestics Week in New York was the devotion that vendors are paying to a single demographic group: 11-to- 14-year-old girls, an age group better known as tweens.

Naturally, the usual considerations were addressed: In terms of colors, golds, deep reds and blue greens were strong, but they were frequently mixed in tone, such as what looked blue was called green and vice versa. In fact, some observers referred to the latest Domestics Week because the market of hard to label colors as so many mixed and complex tones were offered.
