FORUM: POLITICAL CORRECTNESS AND EDITOTIAL INTEGRITY

This issue of Sexuality & Culture--the last one of the century that ends on December 31, 2000 continues the tradition of publishing stimulating essays and rigorous reports of empirical research on the role of sexuality in western culture. As the academic managing editor of the journal, I am proud of the excellent articles that we managed to publish during our first four years and I await with excitement what the future will bring in the new century and new millennium.

Following our mission of supporting the expression of varied viewpoints, the current issue includes a polemic article by Professor Louis Marinoff, "Equal Opportunity Versus Employment Equity." As we approach the end of the eight-year term of President Bill Clinton, a president whose legacy is closely associated just as much with a sex scandal as with a broad application of affirmative-action principles (see Furedy, 1999), Marinoff's strong opposition …
