2001 APR 12 - (NewsRx.com & NewsRx.net) -- Researchers have found little evidence for a substantial increased risk of monoclonal gammopathy of undetermined significance (MGUS) in women with breast implants compared with women without implants.
MGUS is an excessive production of an antibody protein by abnormal plasma cells that in some cases precedes development of other diseases, such as multiple myeloma.
In an article in the March 26, 2001, issue of Archives of Internal Medicine (Arch Intern Med, 2001;161:864-867), Elizabeth W.
