The Paramount Comedy Channel is embarking on its first terrestrial TV advertising campaign, which will use fake party political broadcasts for the new series of Spin City, timed to coincide with election fever in the UK.

Ads focusing on the sleazy side of politics reveal that the Melrose Place and Dynasty star Heather Locklear is to join the show as the campaign manager Caitlin Moore in the fourth series. Then the Wall Street star Charlie Sheen will replace Michael J Fox as the deputy mayor of New York in the fifth series.
