Ben Franklin Technology Partners has, over the years, invested a total of $14 million in area firms
From a chemical manufacturer to a creator of bioengineered life forms, the five most recent recipients of Ben Franklin Technology Partners of Southeastern Pennsylvania funding run the gamut from old economy to new.
The recipients include a developer of software for Pennsylvania municipalities, a maker of electronic whiteboards and the operator of a Web site for people who can't remember all their log-in names and passwords. (The last is profiled on Page 8: "Airport woe catapults notion into Catavault.")
"Clearly this is a very interesting mix," Terry Hicks, Ben Franklin's vice president of investments and entrepreneurial services, said of the recipient list.
