PONZI LABEL A STANDOUT.(Ponzi Abetina Pinot Noir wine label)(Brief Article)
Ponzi vineyards celebrated its 30th anniversary with a newly designed label and packaging for its 1998 Ponzi Abetina Pinot Noir, its first single vineyard designated wine. Abetina, Ponzi's vineyard located near Hilisboro, was planted in the early 1970s.
The new label, designed by Anstey Healy Design, featured a photo of the Ponzi estate elevated above it and was printed in dark, pewter tones that glistened off the shelf.
The photography "is intriguing," said Catherine Healy, a principal at Anstey Healy who has been designing for Ponzi for the past eight years. "It's unusual to see. It kind of floats out there."
