What did Christ, the man, actually look like? Depictions down the ages have been as varied as they are endless. Jesus the Father, gray and bearded; Jesus the Saint, young and winsome. Or gay, black, female, white.... Now a documentary from the Discovery Channel and the BBC has reproduced his face, digitally constructed from a first-century Jewish skull. Framed by a coarse beard and dark hair, it is hardly holier than thou (Hey, maybe Jesus was just an ordinary carpenter!). But is it "the most accurate likeness ever created," as the producers claim? Some have tried to portray Jesus in more symbolic ways:
Photographer Renee Cox recently portrayed Jesus in "Yo Mama's Last Supper," nude as the day both she and the Man were born.
