The Just Shoot Me star dishes on dating Hollywood hotties, his new movie, and getting the last laugh.
* Before David Spade can start serving up snappy answers to pressing questions, the hilarious Just Shoot Me star has some business to sort out with the manager of his favorite diner. The pair chat for a moment at the counter before Spade settles into his usual booth. "He brought back tabloids for me from Iran and Pakistan that talk about me getting attacked by my assistant," Spade explains. (hi November, Spade was allegedly assaulted and zapped with a stun gun by his personal assistant.) "When he told me about the articles, I asked, 'Was there also a little sidebar explaining who David Spade is?'" All jokes aside, the 36-year-old Michigan-born, Arizona-raised actor needs no introduction. As the star of such big-screen yuckfests as Tommy Boy and Black Sheep (both costarring the late Chris Farley) and the new film Joe Dirt, which he cowrote, he's our favorite funny guy.
1. Did you ever find out why your assistant attacked you?
It was a crazy snap that we still can't figure out. I'm just lucky I got out alive.
2. What does it feel like to get hit by a stun gun?
It's brutal, If it had been fully charged, I would probably be dead. He's 360 pounds, and he beat the shit out of me.
