Boeing employees help overseas quake relief effort.(Brief Article)

Employees of the Seattle-based Boeing Co. gave $154,000 to earthquake relief organizations in India and E1 Salvador, the company said Friday. Boeing matched its employees' contribution with $251,600.

The Seattle area had its own earthquake three weeks ago. But damage in the local temblor, measured at a magnitude of 6.8, didn't cause as much damage as those overseas. E1 Salvador experienced a major quake Jan. 13, and India had one Jan. 26.

In response to those quakes, the Boeing Employees Community Fund set up accounts allowing employees to make direct donations. For E1 Salvador, employees …
