Comment period on proposal extended to May 1 as agents flood feds with protests

A proposal that would let banks enter the real estate business is so preposterous to real estate executive Lennox Scott that he simply refuses to believe the federal government would allow it.

Nonetheless, the president of Bellevue-based John L. Scott Real Estate recently wrote a letter condemning the proposal and mailed it to the state's congressional delegation, the National Association of Realtors, the Washington Association of Realtors and the 50 largest independent brokers nationwide.
