The Legal Foundation of Washington on Feb. 23 presented its Goldmark Award for Distinguished Service to Seattle attorney Ken MacDonald in a touching luncheon ceremony at the Washington State Convention & Trade Center.
MacDonald moved to Seattle in 1947 after fighting in the mountains of Italy as an infantryman in World War II. He helped start the Seattle firm of MacDonald Hoague & Bayless in 1952 and earned a reputation as an advocate of civil liberties.
