Writing for Private View reminds me a lot of doing a best man's speech. You're always flattered to be asked, but come the big day it's quite a nightmare. Because you never quite know what's the appropriate tone. Try and be too funny and you're accused of trivialising everything. If you're overly sincere, it's boring. And if you take the sycophantic approach, well, you're just a sycophant. But at least at a wedding, your audience is tanked up and friendly. Anyway, I think that's enough babble to stretch the word count.
