Wisconsin Energy pays FCC fine.

While finalizing its acquisition of Wicor Inc. in spring 2000, Wisconsin Energy Corp. discovered it had violated several Federal Communications Commission regulations over the past six years and was fined $25,000 by the agency.

The Milwaukee holding company turned itself in to the FCC for failing to obtain commission consent prior to transferring control of licenses and for operating nonbroadcast radio facilities. The company agreed to pay the fine at the end of December 2000.
