The fourth annual Santa Fe International Festival of Electroacoustic Music took place in Santa Fe, New Mexico, USA, in April 2000. It was hosted by the College of Santa Fe Contemporary Music Program and included live performances, outdoor installations, and radio broadcasts. The Composer in Residence was Annea Lockwood.
In the first of two concerts, the College of Santa Fe Electroacoustic Ensemble, directed by David Dunn and Steven Miller, performed Lockwood's Monkey Trips in addition to pieces by David Dunn and John Cage. The concert ended with Lockwood's tape piece floating world. The second concert presented music by John Bischoff and Laetitia Sonami.
The outdoor installations ran for one week each and were located in the courtyard of the Contemporary Music Program. Ted Apel's Wenke's View was followed by Michael Schumacher's Room Piece Twenty-Four.
