Columbia TriStar Films, the film distributor owned by Sony Pictures, has put its 12 million [pounds sterling] UK media account up forpitch.
The pitch is believed to include the company's Columbia Video and Columbia Pictures arms. Columbia Pictures has distributed films such as Snatch, The End of the Affair and Erin Brokovich.
The incumbents on the account are Zenith Media, which handles the media buying, and Saatchi & Saatchi, which is the media planning agency. It is not clear if Columbia is looking at merging the two disciplines and appointing a sole media agency.
