A LIQUID form of nylon 12 has been introduced by Ems Chemie for use as a matrix for high performance thermoplastic composites, and in unreinforced form for rotational moulding.

In composites moulding Grilamid Liquid Matrix System is combined with Grilamid Hybrid Yarns -- blends of Grilamid staple fibres and various reinforcing fibres -- to produce a thermoformable composite which spans the gap between materials such as GMT and LFT, and high performance carbon fibre/PEEK type materials.
