Lakers C Shaquille O'Neal said he would come back "with a vengeance" from his foot injury, and the early results are promising. He averaged 30.7 points, 11.6 rebounds, 4.9 assists and 2.7 blocks in his first seven games. The Lakers went 5-2 during O'Neal's tear, and his most impressive work was in a 22-point effort without sidekick SG Kobe Bryant in a win over the Spurs.
