$30 million addition adds 230,000 square feet in Broward

The Fort Lauderdale/Broward Convention Center is undergoing a $30 million expansion, scheduled to be completed in September. The expansion includes three levels to be connected to the existing facility. The ground level will have a 50,000-square-foot exhibit hall and a 3,000-square-foot meeting room that can be divided in two.

The second level will have a 11,000-square-foot meeting room that also can be divided. The third level will consist of a 33,000-square-foot ballroom, which can be used as a meeting room. Adjacent to the ballroom is a 6,000-square-foot, full-service kitchen.
