The butler and the broker are both being tight-lipped about it, but several other Bay Area real estate observers say that Ask Jeeves is quietly looking to get out of its 160,000-square-foot lease at Oakland's City Center.

Additionally, the troubled online information portal has given Aegis the go-ahead to actively market more than two floors of space at 1111 Broadway in a sublet.
