PARIS -- Per Kaufmann, head of the Printemps department store chain for the past four years, has been named chief executive officer of home furnishings retailer Conforama.
He starts Feb. 26.
French retail conglomerate Pinault-Printemps-Redoute, parent of both chains, said Kaufmann would continue to chair management board meetings at Printemps until his successor is named. An announcement is expected in a few weeks, a PPR spokesman said.
