THE JAKARTA POST
- The Indonesian Bank Restructuring Agency has named a Malaysian consortium led by DRB HiCom as the preferred bider to take over the Jakarta Outer Ring Road toll project, the agency's senior executive said.
- State electricity company PT PLN warned Wednesday it would impose rotating power cuts in some parts of the country due to a shortfall in supplies.
- The House of Representative banking committee gave its approval Wednesday to the government's crucial program to divest its shares in the publicly listed Bank Central Asia and Bank Niaga in the first half of this year.
THE INDONESIAN OBSERVERS
- The Supreme Court yesterday rejected an appeal by the World Bank's private sector lending arm, the International Finance Corporation, over a debt restructuring plan for one of its debtors.
