TOKYO, March 1 Asia Pulse - Teijin Ltd. (TSE: 3401), Toray Industries Inc. (TSE: 3402) and three other textile makers announced Wednesday they formally asked the Ministry of Finance to levy an anti-dumping duty on certain types of short polyester fiber manufactured by South Korean and Taiwanese rivals.
If approved, the tax would mark the second case of anti-dumping action in the textile sector, following similar moves against Pakistani cotton thread.
