JAPAN'S NTT TO CUT 6,700 JOBS, SPENDING TO GEAR FOR COMPETITION.
TOKYO, March 1 Asia Pulse - Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corp. (TSE:9432)'s two regional units plan to trim a combined 6,700 jobs and curb capital spending by 9% in fiscal 2001, the NTT group said in a report released Wednesday.
