GLOBAL ONE ANNOUNCES US$ 5 MLN GLOBAL IP VPN CONTRACT WITH YAGEO.

TAIPEI, Taiwan, Mar. 1 /PRNewswire Asia-AsiaNet/ -- Global One, a leader in innovative e-business communications solutions, today announced another major contract win for its industry-leading Global IP VPN service: Yageo Corporation, the world's leading passive components supplier and total-solution services provider.

Under the five-year contract, which is expected to exceed US$5 million, Global One will interconnect 25 Yageo sites in Europe with its corporate headquarters in Taipei.

Yageo recently acquired two companies from the Philips Group, Phycomp and Ferroxcube, and it is these corporate sites in Europe that will be initially interconnected via Global IP VPN. Another 15 Yageo sites will be added in a second phase.

Yageo is among the more than 30 customers worldwide that have already chosen the industry's first and most extensive MPLS-based IP VPN service. With Global IP VPN, Yageo will gain advanced capabilities to carry out e-business and other mission-critical operations, including connections to vendor and partner sites. In addition, Global One will provide Yageo with a range of other customized services, including Global IP Dial, Global Security, Global IP Direct, and Global Web Hosting.
