LOS ANGELES, Feb. 28 /PRNewswire-AsiaNet/ -- PSAINC (OTC Bulletin Board: PSAX) announced today that its subsidiary Jet Vacations International, Inc., the company it acquired at the end of the 4th quarter 2000, has seen a meteoric rise on visits to its website.
"We crossed the millionth visitor mark in the second week of December and have seen several weeks thereafter with spikes exceeding this number. In fact, by the second week in January the numbers were so high that our server capacity was stretched beyond its maximum. We had to double our server capacity since. The rate of growth is well over 1000 per cent in the past three months," said Ravi Rao, CEO of Jet Vacations.
Overall sales during this low season of travel to Europe, has increased 112 per cent over the same period from previous year. This increase can be attributed to several factors including alliances with online travel agencies such as Trip.com and 1France.com.
A large portion of the increase in sales from the traditional travel agency community can be attributed to the preferred supplier status enjoyed by Jet Vacations with quality agency consortia such as Virtuoso, Leisure Travel Group and TravelSavers. These consortia number over 3000 high quality travel agents across the nation, in addition to the Jet Vacations' own list of preferred agencies. "Jet Vacations is fortunate to have been selected by these agency consortia as they provide focused marketing and sales efforts that work in close partnership to enhance members' ability to provide the client traveler with quality products at a value."
