Fast-growing Amdocs Ltd. expects to hire 200 to 300 high tech workers each year for the next several years in the St. Louis area.

The new employees will customize the billing software that Amdocs creates for major telecommunications companies, including SBC Communications Inc., Nextel Communications Inc. and Sprint PCS Group. Amdocs, which has earned the nickname "The Killer Biller" in the financial press, is reported to have more than $4 billion in new contracts in the pipeline.
