Sharon Oliver says her firm is upping the ante in Chevy Chase. As managing director of The JBG Cos., a District-based development firm, she says the 12-story, $70 million Chase Tower will stand as the first "trophy building" in Chevy Chase when it delivers in late 2001. And she expects to have no problem filling it up.

"Chevy Chase has everything. There is the housing base. There is the retail component. And most of all, it has Metro right there. Everything in Chevy Chase is walking distance to Metro," she says.
