Montgomery biotech leaders embrace discrimination law.

MONTGOMERY COUNTY has become the first local jurisdiction in the country to approve legislation that protects workers from genetic discrimination.

In mid-December, MONTGOMERY COUNTY COUNCIL, passed a bill supported by many of the biotech companies that call the county home. "I've been encouraged by the support of the biotech community with this," says Councilman PHIL ANDREWS, D-District 3. "There was no opposition to it, which pleased me."
