Prosecutors begin questioning Murakami Yomiuri Prosecutors on Friday began questioning Masakuni Murakami, who tendered his resignation Thursday to the Diet and left the Liberal Democratic Party, over his alleged monetary ties with a scandal-tainted mutual aid organization. The special investigation squad of the Tokyo District Public Prosecutors Office questioned Murakami, 68, on suspicion that he peddled political influence for financial inducement from the KSD Foundation for Promoting Welfare of Independent Entrepreneurs.
