Olympus awards pan-Euro account to FCB Worldwide.(Brief Article)

Olympus Europa has appointed the German office of FCB Worldwide to its pan European creative account, following a three-way pitch, against Lowe Lintas in the UK and DDB Needham in France.

FCB, whose UK arm is Banks Hoggins O'Shea, will produce work to run across the European territory. The international account, believed to be worth at least $10m ([pound]6.8m), was previously held by Y&R. FCB held it from l979 to 1992.

Olympus Europa spokesman Hans Thiele said FCB offered the strongest concept in terms of creativity and strategy. …
