Birmingham- SouthTrust Mortgage Corp. has announced two new promotions. Jan Turley has been named as senior vice president and director of loan servicing and Vanessa Mencer has been appointed as assistant vice president of loan delivery and shipping.
Ms. Turley has been with the company since 1998. She has more than 23 years of experience in the mortgage industry.
Ms. Mencer joined SouthTrust in 1997, and has 15 years of experience in the industry. She is also certified in mortgage-backed securities.

Irvine- Option One Mortgage Corp., a subprime mortgage lender and servicer, has promoted Karena Smith to branch manager of its new Orlando North, Fla. branch.
She has been with the company since 1994, starting as an account executive.
