Supermarket giant Safeway has decided to produce gingerbread women to sell along-side the Gingerbread Man in its Great Britain stores.

Is no symbol of manhood sacred?

Since 1740, when he was born in the little town of Grantham, England, the Gingerbread Man has rested on his shelf, arms and legs akimbo, putting smiles and crumbs on faces all over the world.

But now, citing "consumer demand," grocery stores will offer a Gingerbread Woman.
