Dear Bill: . . . On another subject, I have detached myself from the technology revolution, but I'm attracted back by this report from the Internet on the most sought-after economists writing. I will, of course, write to them, pointing out that Buckley is a major literary and political figure and accordingly doesn't make the grade.

My health continues on the mildly reprehensible side, but the medical profession assures me that time will work its wonders. There are many reasons why that great profession must be regarded with a certain detachment.

Kitty joins me in the best to you both and all.

Yours faithfully, John Kenneth Galbraith Cambridge, Mass.

Dear Ken: Well, by the time Milton is your age, surely he will edge you out in the race among living economists. On the race among economists past or present, I am left wondering what Aristotle had that you don't have. Advise. Splendid news that your health is improving. Pat joins in affectionate greetings to Kitty and you. Bill
